PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION

You went into private practice for more freedom.
But now you're feeling lost and overwhelmed.

You know this work. You're good at it. But you're running on empty, carrying your clients' stress and
wondering if this is just... what it's like now.
It doesn't have to be.

You're good at this.
But you feel like you're failing.

You got into this business because you care.
But the business doesn't seem to care about you.

You teach self-care every session and can't remember the last time you actually practiced it yourself.

Your caseload is either too empty or too full, and neither feels sustainable.

You feel isolated in this work -- not sure who to turn to, afraid reaching out means you can't handle it.

Private equity-funded platforms are eating into your referrals and your marketing budget can't compete.

You've started job searching. Or at least thinking about it.

Your practice is your whole life right now. You want it to be part of your life, not all of it.

You didn't take a vow of self-sacrifice when you got your license.
And burnout after years in this field isn't a character flaw.
It's what happens when good clinicians don't have support.

3 Pillars of Support

Professional consultation covers what actually affects your ability to do this work, and keep doing it.

SELF-CARE

We'll assess how you're doing across the four pillars of health -- movement, sleep, nutrition, and stress -- and build a realistic plan based on your actual life and values. Not the self-care you teach. The kind that works for you.
Professional Conversation

CLIENT CARE

Case consultation, ethical dilemmas, countertransference, feeling stuck with a client you care about. A professional space to think through what you're carrying clinically.

BUSINESS PRACTICES

Private practice sustainability, caseload, boundaries, attracting the clients you actually want to work with. Your practice as something that supports your life -- not the other way around.

PEER-LEVEL HONESTY

This isn't supervision and it isn't therapy (though this can be therapeutic). It's collegial consultation with someone who understands what it actually costs to do this work, and will be straight with you about what she sees.

THE WHOLE PICTURE

A thriving practice is built on a thriving practitioner. We'll look at how your body, habits, practice structure, and relationships are all connected -- and where the weak links are.

JUDGEMENT-FREE ZONE

Whether you're managing countertransference, questioning your rates, or secretly job searching, this is a space where you can say the thing out loud without worrying about what it means about you.

VALUES-BASED

We're not just talking. We're identifying real opportunities and building toward a practice -- and a life -- that reflects what matters most to you.

"From the moment we started working together, Sherri's warmth and expertise shone through... Instead of simply telling me what to do, Sherri guided me through a process of self-discovery, helping me to uncover new insights about myself. Sherri's keen insight and skillful guidance helped me break through barriers and find the motivation I needed to continue pursuing my dream with renewed energy and purpose." - G., past client

I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor in Minnesota with over 15 years of mental health experience. Before that, I spent 25+ years in business, small and large, across accounting, IT, and systems development. Along with a master's degree in counseling psychology, I hold a bachelor's degree in business with additional training in marketing and coaching.

When a therapist comes to me struggling with caseload, pricing, or the business side of private practice, I'm not guessing. I've been there.

I understand the knowing-doing gap from both sides of the room. The same patterns that keep high-achievers stuck -- perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty asking for help -- show up in therapists too. Especially the good ones. I'll listen carefully, and I'll be honest. That's what I'd want from a consultant. It's what I offer.

When you thrive, your practice thrives.

It starts with a 20-minute conversation. No commitment, no pressure. Just an honest look at where you are and whether we're a good fit.
